With everything that was going on, I forgot to ask...Is it normal for all of the leaves to fall off the trees, and change color? I've found leaves that are so many colors! It's sorta weird, but it's really pretty... Oh!! And the cold, all of my clothes aren't made for the cold...I'm used to it being desert hot. So can someone tell me what kinds of warm clothes to wear, that doesn't make me look silly? Back home I pretty much had my clothes ready to wear, or found clothes that fit. But I did try to find warm clothes...but I think I need a lot of help here...

Uhm...I think I should ask a more normal question too...are there normal questions here..? Well...how many people here grew up without parents? And for the people who did...no, that's a mean question. N-nevermind!!

[Once Raenef had deemed it safe to go outside again, he has found himself collecting the pretty colored leaves, and has started to make a very pretty colored ring of leaves near the middle of town like any kid would that's never experienced Fall in their lives, as he tries to ignore the annoying cold by keeping himself busy. Though once he has managed to make the colorful leaf circle, instead of going inside to get warm like a normal person, anyone can find him doing something that looks extremely dangerous...and that would be the fact that he is not only holding a fairly large fireball in his hands (Bigger than his head at least), but he's also created a barrier around himself to keep any wind away from him, and the fire that could blow right into his face]

How's that possible?

Temperature, time, humidity, gravity - many factors can influence their shape. So in the end, there are very slight differences even between two similar ones.

So they're like people?

I suppose you could say it's something like that. Each person is formed by their circumstances and environment - and they have different heights, or body shapes, or hair or eyes.

Okay, that makes more sense.

I think... it seems remarkable, because they're so small that we don't really notice each individual snowflake.

How can you tell though if they are so small? That would make it even harder to tell that they are all different?

You have to look very closely, or use a magnifying glass or microscope. [The latter has the difficulty of getting it under a microscope without melting.]

What's a microscope?

It's a piece of equipment used to magnify whatever you're looking at, often to as many as 1500 times its true size.

...So it can make an ant look as big as a person? [What is technology???]

Well, yes, you could say that. It can be very interesting to see parts of something that were too small to see clearly before. You can learn a lot that way.

What can you learn from something like that...other than all snowflakes are different?

It's more than just snowflakes. For example, looking at certain animals, very small ones, has helped to understand how they're able to withstand certain environments, or cross very rough terrain. We can apply those theories to develop tools and equipment for humans.

How can understanding bugs be helpful?

It's because what we learn from them can be applied to other things and other subjects.

...Magic seems less confusing...

We don't always understand the method or where the energy comes from, but the effects of magic aren't always different from scientific processes, either. You could think of it as simply speeding them up, or making them more obvious.

Not to me at least...but I was never taught stuff like that. Just how to get and use it.

I just think... maybe, somehow, magic and science aren't completely different. After all, a lot of scientific advancements would be considered magic in times before they were understood.
