Uhm...I was told that there's a whole lot of really good magic teachers here. I don't remember all the names, but I was wondering if anyone would be able to teach me the magic from my world...because the only thing I've been able to teach myself is how to blow up a tree. It would be kind of easy though...I already have the magic, I just need to learn how to use it. I even found one of my spellbooks!

And I promise I won't fall asleep during lessons!

...I'm also not allowed to practice inside...

[Next comes a long, long pause...He's very much aware that there's no good way to ask this question, but the curiousity is killing him! He will be talking at high speeds.]

I was also wondering if there are any demons here, and also why does everyone think that demons are supposed to look like dragons??


[Throughout the rest of the day, Raenef has managed to completely fail. He can be found at random places all around the village (Infront of a building, under a tree, up a tree, on a bridge) doing one thing. Sleeping. And for what can be seen as a good reason too! There's a book looking hardly read sitting neatly in his lap.]

I keep getting asked why I don't have horns, or fangs, or just look big mean and scary.

That's cus a lot of demons do look big, mean, and scary. And a lotta them do have fangs, at least, I dunno about horns. And where I'm from, all of 'em got tails. ...I think. Most of 'em.

Well most of the demons in my world look like normal people, except for the older ones. They're a little scary.

Almost none of 'em looks like people in my world... and the ones that do are the scary ones. Well, some of 'em. There's other scary things too.

[ Hm. Magic lessons. Well Helios is slowly getting back into his normal routine of doing things. Keeping himself occupied has helped of course. But he can't sit here and not reply to this. ] There's a good few of us, yes.

[ A pause. ] It-it depends on...what type of m-magic you're normally used to preforming.

[Voice]

[Now there's a good question...hold on, he knows this!]

I can use...spirit magic, elemental magic, rune magic, and dark magic!

[Voice]

Ah I-I see. That's...quite the expansive repertoire. It shouldn't be too hard f-finding someone to help. I-I'm rather good with most of those.

[Voice]

I've only learned some dark magic, and elemental magic so far though...the others are harder since there's a lot of reading to go with learning them.

...Could you teach me then?

[Voice]

O-oh! Ah, certainly. If-if you'd really like me to. The school has classes for filial magic. And there's also a recently formed group, for all the magic users here. We're trying to, um, help people learn other world's magic. I'm sure that could help you as well.

[Voice]

Filial magic is the spirit magic that's here right? It would be really confusing to learn those and the ones back home... And I'm not really sure, but I think I can only learn the magic from my world. Since I can sort of already use them, I only need to understand the spells to use them.

[Voice]

Yes that's correct. The filial spirits rely on making connections with them, rather than any written s-spells or spoken incantations. They're more, emotionally and psychically bound to p-people. I think, actually, being a skilled user in your world would make it infinitely easier, actually.

[ Helios listens as the other speaks. A soft 'hm' escaping him. ] But, well, learning your own spells is probably the best first step. I-I definitely have no problems helping you. Wh-what about them is, ah, g-giving you trouble? [ Since he seemingly can use them already. Perhaps it's simply reading the symbols or memorizing the incantations? ]

The spirits from my world require contracts to be made so I can use their power...so the ones sound easier to use...I haven't been taught to contact spirits yet though.

Just understanding them. There's two ways a Demon Lord can learn magic. Just learning its name, and how to use it is the easiest, learning the incantations are harder, but if I learn those, I can use the spell even when I'm in another demons relm. [Don't mind him sounding so proud of himself. He's happy he remembers all of this]

[Well that would be extremely rude of them. But he's not waking up until she pokes him or does something loud.]

[...yeah, maybe she should try waking him up, it's a little odd to sleep outdoors like this. So it's time to try to shake him a little. Wake up....!]

[A little shake isn't enough to wake him up. It only induces some sleep-talking]

[No, Raenef, wake up! She bites her lip for a moment (because this probably looks really weird and it's super embarrassing) before she shakes him a bit harder.]

Hey, wake up...

[Alright, annoyance is acknowledged. He'll be trying to swat the shacking hands away with one hand, and rubbing his eyes with the other.]

...Why?

[She lets go once it's clear that he's waking up and leans back to let him sit up.]

It's a bit dangerous to sleep in the middle of the road. Are you feeling all right?

[Oh, he's not sitting up, the book is probably nex to him on the ground from all the shacking, but he's comfy.]

I was just taking a nap...I got bored with reading.
