II ☄ Action

In the morning there is something very odd happening at the just about any place that has food...the impossible is happening. Someone is stealing free food. Yep. The kid hasn't really read everything about this place, and very hungry. He has been doing this for a while now, but today he isn't being as sneaky as usual.

It's possibly very strange to see a kid in extremely nice clothes acting like a street kid, but there he is.  He would prefer it if no one caught him, but he's gotten pretty comfortable with stealing food again.


Later in the day though, there is a very interesting thing happening around town. A certain Demon Lord has started up his magic lessons again, on his own. Which isn't the best of ideas, seeing as a simple teleportation spell has him popping up all over town. Maybe right infront of you as your walking, maybe right behind you, or maybe even in the fountain. EIther way it's going to be a surprise to see him since he is still getting used to that magic cap...even the simplist teleportation spell can end him upside down in a puddle of mud.

[Koakuma is in the library making sure that any and all recently-returned books are put back onto the proper shelves. What are the chances that Raenef would eventually find himself on top of the bookshelf she is currently standing in front of?

Naturally, she will be oblivious until he says something or falls down onto her.]

[Oh that's a very high probability.

That probability coming up with a thud from him as he hits the ground, and following the multiple thuds of bunches of books that fall on him afterwards. No more than a few feet away from Koakuma.]

[She flinches heavily upon hearing the initial thud, and turns her head just in time to see the books falling right on top of him.

The books falling is a minor problem in that she'll need to put those back again, but first thing's first: addressing the Demon Lord who just got himself buried in all of that mess and making sure he's not hurt.]

Wha- Hey! A-are you okay?

[All the answer she gets until the books are off his face is a long, annoyed groan.

He seems fine though, since he's trying to get the books off by himself.]

[Koa's next course of action, of course, is to pick the books up and set them in a few stacks next to her until enough of them have been moved that Raenef can actually get up.

It's a pretty large pile, though, so this might take her a minute.]

[Well help is welcome! He'll happily wait until he's told that he can move away from the painful pile of books.]

[...and there's the last one.] Are you able to get up?

Yep. [He sits right up, and starts rubbing his back.] Thanks for helping me.

Um, if you don't mind my asking...what happened? [She's wondering if he tripped and his landing jarred some books that were still sitting loose on the nearby shelf, or if it was something else that had happened.]

[So he's popping up anywhere, is he? How about right in front of Grune as she's crossing the bridge back to her home?

She doesn't have much in the way of a startle reflex, but even she'll stop short when suddenly, blue-haired boy!]

[Well normally Raenef would let out a very girly scream at the sudden sight of a person right infront of him, but that would be rude since she didn't scream...

He'll just stare at her with a freaked out face.]

[Action] ...And now I'm going to be glacial. Sorry about that.

[Grune blinks a few more times, then collects herself enough to give him a smile.]

[That's...an odd question to be asked. He still just looks a bit freaked out..]

Oh, all right. [Grune is just going to accept this sudden appearance at face value, then. Yup.]

[Well this just wins the weirdest way to start a normal conversation..]

The rain looks so pretty falling on the water, doesn't it?

[She gestures over the railing of the bridge to the river.]

[Raenef doesn't get sarcastic very often, but he doesn't know how else to respond.]

[A well-dressed kid acting like a street urchin? Sounds familiar. Because here is one exactly like that, dressed as a noble and looking as scruffy as a stray dog at the same time. He's picking up muffins in the bakery, while humming a well-loved pirate song.

Sabo noticed the other boy as he's about to leave. And because he'd spent years doing the exact same thing in his own world, he recognized what he's doing at once.]

[Oh...busted. He never gets busted! ...Someone had to be waiting for him..

He jumps a little, but recovers pretty quickly trying to look innocent...which he could've pulled off if his mouth wasn't full.]

There's no need to steal stuff --or stuff your face in all at once-- in this place. Everything's free, so you can take your time eating. No one's gonna chase you out.

[There's a very blank look on his face for a few moments as he swallows, then confusion.]

...Free? B-but it's food. [Food is good, therefore it must be worth something.]

Food, clothes and stuff. There's no money is this place so they're all free for the taking. 'Least, those found in the shops. [Head-tilts.] Did you just got here?

Really? So no one has to pay for anything? [Best. news. ever!] Yeah...about a week ago.

Oh, so that's why you didn't know. Got here three months ago myself.

[Grins.] Yep. But you gotta remember your manners. People here appreciate that, and they'll remember if you're an asshole to 'em.

Three months is a really long time..

[And now the poor guy looks worried again.] I'm nice to everyone I meet. [No really. He cries and hugs people when he thinks he made them mad.]
